Take a trip to Shipwreck Beach and you’ll pass the famous blue caves, before arriving at a sandy strip of beach surrounded by sheer rock faces. At its centre is a rusty, marooned ship.
If taking a car around the island, you can visit characterful villages, quirky churches, and ancient monasteries. Be sure to visit some of the excellent museums to learn about post-Byzantine art, Agriculture, or Natural History. And then it is time to sample the local food and drink at the seemingly-endless string of cafes, restaurants, and bars.
