Spetses Tweed Run
Your eyes are not deceiving you as you watch a penny farthing ride past the statue of Bouboulina. A weekend in spring sees Spetses go retro as visitors dress in vintage costume and hop on classic bicycles for a fun festival of all things yesteryear. The special event, run by the Poseidonion Grand Hotel and the Hellenic Bicycle Museum, is a whimsical journey back in time with elegant Spetses as its beautiful backdrop.
Outdoor Cinema
One of the most handsome of the open air cinemas in the Greek islands, the Titania was built in the 1960’s, and it is a wonderfully nostalgic way to spend a balmy summer evening. With the scent of jasmine in the air and under the light of the stars, there are two screenings every night for cinephiles.
Spetses Classic Regatta
A unique event sees a flotilla of classic yachts and traditional boats gather in the Argo Saronic Gulf for a series of races across the Kosta straits. Held in June, the regatta attracts vessels from all over the Mediterranean and beyond to enjoy four days of sun, sea and sailing.
Spetses Fishing Trips
With a strong maritime heritage, the waters that surround Spetses are ideal for spending a day at sea. Join boat captains at fishing spots known only to locals in search of the freshest catch.
