Tucked away in the Northern Sporades, this enchanting islet offers a refreshing escape with its breathtaking landscapes and pristine turquoise waters. While it may not boast the same level of fame as its neighboring islands, Arkos has quietly won over the hearts of those seeking a more authentic and tranquil experience.

Covering a modest area of 0.414 square kilometers, Arkos is an uninhabited haven nestled in the embrace of nature. Situated across from Skiathos, to which it administratively belongs, the island is located east of the main port’s exit in Skiathos town, just beyond the charming islet of Maragos. While ships do not approach its shores, boats offer the only means of reaching this pristine destination.

Arkos may not boast the same dazzling beaches as its more renowned counterparts like Lalaria or Koukounaries in Skiathos. However, it captivates visitors with a unique blend of fragrant pines, crystalline waters and the opportunity to escape the crowds of its cosmopolitan neighbour. As you approach the central beach, known simply as “Arkos,” the sight of lush vegetation and towering trees engulfs you in a dazzling natural embrace.
