To visit the Halkidiki Peninsula in Northern Greece, start by flying into Thessaloniki International Airport (SKG), or Makedonia Airport, which connects to various European cities and Athens. Upon arrival, choose between renting a car or taking a taxi for transportation.

From Thessaloniki, drive east on the A25 highway, then continue onto the A24 highway to reach the Halkidiki Peninsula in approximately 1-1.5 hours. Key bus stations are located in Polygyros, Nea Moudania, Neos Marmaras, and near Thessaloniki Airport.
Although Halkidiki doesn’t have its own airport, Thessaloniki Airport “Makedonia” is conveniently located 20 km away from Thessaloniki’s city center, operating domestic and international flights year-round. Taxis are available at the airport’s entrance to transfer you to your desired location or the nearest KTEL bus station for a bus ride to Halkidiki.
