Planning a trip to the serene and picturesque Serifos Island? This informative guide will help you navigate your way to this idyllic destination. As there is no airport on Serifos, the most convenient option for air travel is Athens International Airport. From there, you can take a ferry from Athens or other Cyclades islands. Keep in mind that ferry schedules may vary according to the season, so plan accordingly.
Ferry
To reach Serifos, you have a few options: The main way of going is from Piraeus Port in Athens. During the summer months, Serifos is connected daily to other Cyclades islands (Ios, Kimolos, Mykonos, Tinos, Paros, Naxos, Andros, Folegandros, Amorgos, Anafi, Siros) via high-speed ferries and conventional car ferries. The journey takes approximately 4.5 hours on a car ferry and around 2.5 hours on high-speed ferries. Additionally, Serifos has connections to Crete through Milos. Keep in mind that the frequency of sea transportation may change with the season. During the summer, extra routes are available from Lavrion port (Southern Attica).
