The visionary Dimitris Parthenis opened his first store, boutique Brigitte, in Athens in 1970. In 1979 he opened his Mykonos boutique, a constant source of inspiration that launched his international career.
The comfortable cotton clothes that hug the body, the brand’s trademark, became popular immediately and the designer managed to have a prestigious career through the years.
Today, Orsalia Parthenis is in charge of creative, keeping the brand’s minimal Greek aesthetic on course. Upgraded basics made from high quality fabrics are interspersed with contemporary creations offering your everyday wardrobe the basis for a sophisticated and unique appearance.
With four stores in Greece and the Athens and Mykonos stores being the flagships, Parthenis house has a wholesale network that expands from Greece and reaches Cyprus, Lebanon, Kuwait, the USA and the UK, while the pop-up Parthenis Concept Store on Rivington Street in East London opened its doors in February 2016.
The clothes’ line is elegant, unique and timeless, linked to the Greek summer. This simplicity, comfort, and elegance that defines the clothes is also true of the new Parthenis Café, the new meeting point in Mykonos that is true to the spirit, the essence and the history of the brand, and opened its gates in the outdoors space of the historic Parthenis store, at the most legendary and most photographed spot on the island, right next to the windmills.
The dishes served at the café are of the same philosophy of Parthenis house, with fresh Greek ingredients. The light signature meals are available at the café throughout the day. Their focus is the essence of the food, and they take you on a culinary trip around Greece.
You can also enjoy the magical Mykonian sunset next to the windmills – like on carte postale – drinking a cocktail or an Aperitivo at the Parthenis café. As for the music, it has always been an important part of the brand, so now it accompanies every moment of the day with curated playlists that follow the sun’s journey.
Like the moments and the moods change, like the people mix together sweetly, so does the music: different music genres combine in a genre-bender approach, with flow being the constant. Never before has a DJ set been heard on Mykonos that easily moves from Jose Padilla to Black Keys, from James Brown to Paul Oakenfold, or from Mark Almond to Adelphi Music Factory and Nicolas Jaar.
Here you can experience the true sense of easy living.
