On the other hand, the “Ipeiros” eatery (2103240773), located in Varvakeio, will serve mageiritsa from early Saturday afternoon, along with other choices to accompany the emblematic dish of the Resurrection. Heading north, specifically to Chalandri, “Bepeka” (2106854880) will serve mageiritsa and a full dinner on Holy Saturday night. In the same vein is the Kifisia-based “Wood” (2108074416), which, however, will offer spit-roasted lamb and kontosouvli on Easter Sunday. They will also serve kokoretsi, gardoumbes, and paidakia.

Heading south, we make a stop at “Trellos Gaidaros” in Dafni, Alimos, and Glyfada, where they will roast lamb on Easter Sunday and have kokoretsi, kontosouvli, and many more festive mezedakia available. Additionally, specifically at the Dafni location (2109769411), they will have live music featuring artful folk music starting at noon. All three establishments accept pre-orders.
In Keratea, we make a stop at “Stafylomeli” (229063441), where they will host a proper festive celebration, featuring spit-roasted lamb, kokoretsi, gardoumbes, and everything else one could associate with the Easter table. Upon arriving at the tavern, take a moment to appreciate the photographs of old Keratea displayed on the walls.
Moving on to Marathon, near the archaeological site of Ramnous, the family-owned tavern “Ramnous” (2294063670) sets up a genuine Easter feast with spit-roasted lamb, kokoretsi, and all sorts of dishes associated with the special day.
