Preferred Hotels and Resorts has added two Greek hotels to its European network portfolio.
The hotel brand aims to benefit from a stronger outflow of tourism from the UK to Greece. According to Mrs. Brenda Collin, Executive Vice President of Europe for Preferred Hotels and Resorts, travellers have begun planning their returns to favourite island destinations, to reconnect amongst themselves, with nature, culture, as well as local communities.
The hotel chain’s two new Greek network additions are:
Andronis Arcadia in Santorini
The hotel’s plan was inspired by the natural environment, features white-washed walls, bamboo shelter and earthly, luxury interior spaces. Its 52 suites are equipped with small pools offering sea views, while two restaurants serve taverna-style dishes and sushi. The facility also offers a spa with an overflow pool, open-air relaxation space, and topical treatments.
Lesante Classic Luxury Hotel and Spa in Zakynthos
The resort, located in Tsilivi, features 107 rooms with verandas, two large outdoor swimming pools, a gym, as well as the region’s biggest spa with an indoor swimming pool, hydromassage, hamam and a series of therapies. The complex, amongst other features, also includes two restaurants serving Greek and international cuisine, a piano bar and bar with swimming pool.
With these two additions, the Preferred Hotels and Resorts’ Greek network now comprises eight hotels: Mykonos Blanc, Myconian Naia, Myconian Villa Collection and Mykonos Princess, all on Mykonos, the Andronis Arcadia on Santorini, the Lesante Classic Luxury Hotel & Spa on Zakynthos, the Lifestyle Collection Hotel By Out of the Blue, Capsis on Crete, and NJV Athens Plaza in Athens.
The Preferred Hotels Association was founded in 1968 by 12 independent North American hoteliers, bringing together hotels sharing similar services and quality standards, while the association’s first European hotels were added to its collection in 1972. Almost 50 years later, in 2019, Preferred Hotels and Resorts, with the Ueberroth family at the helm over a 15-year period, was ranked one of the biggest independent hotel brands in the world with 35 offices, over 320 associates, and more than 750 hotels, resorts and holiday homes in 85 countries.
