Apart from being beautiful in its own right, its location in the middle of the Epirus riviera makes Preveza irresistible. A crossroads, a “passage”, like the meaning of its name in Slavic, for travellers who want to spend their vacations in western Greece. Starting here, they can go on marvellous excursions to Lefkada, Paxi, Parga, as well as visit legendary landmarks of Epirus like Souli and the Nekromanteion of Acheron.
The town’s mixed character that combines the attractions and cool of an island, with the safe land access, has made it very popular during the past two years of the pandemic. Many Greek and foreign travellers, especially from the Balkans, drove here to spend their holidays, instead of visiting an island.
At the same time, the opening of the new marina at the port, together with the increase in flights into the Aktion airport, resulted in the creation of new luxury hotels and, in general, in an increase in lodging availability. The generally good prices also include accommodation, and there are many options. So, if you book a room, you’ll have a great time all year round. You can walk around the narrow alleys of the historic centre with the taverns offering shrimp and fresh fish, and the bars for drinks in the evening; you can swim in the sea off the endless lacy coast in the summer; and take exciting trips throughout the year.
Lodgings in town are generally open all year round, but during the holidays or long weekends availability is low. Outside town, by the sea, they usually open after Easter.

A very beautiful, all-suites hotel that, as its name suggests, is all about a relaxing and slow living. The space is elegantly simple, with natural, luxurious materials – teak, suar and iroko wood.
