Even though Ikaria is a large island that attracts many visitors every summer, there are no large resorts and hotels on the island. The island’s character calls for more discreet and affordable accommodation options, however this does not necessarily imply a lack in quality, service and elegance.

Most hotels are located on the north side of the island, particularly in the villages of Armenistis and Gialiskari. Further north inland, in the wider area of Christos Rachon, you will find entire houses and villas for rent, while there are many simple, but decent rooms for rent in many other areas.

Erofili Beach Hotel

Pyrgos Traditional Village

Built high on Agios Kirikos, the traditional village is built with stone amidst olive groves, trees and gardens. The inspiration and name came from a small, abandoned tower that stood in the area. The idea was brought to life by making the most of local materials. The result is a small settlement, perfectly integrated and environmentally friendly, using photovoltaic panels and spring water. Accommodation options are numerous: from mini and standard suites for 2 guests, to family and presidential suites for 4 guests.

Olivia Villas

On the foundations of an old stone stable, three unique villas were created with local stone. At the exit of the village of Agios Dimitrios, the villas Liostasi, Petrino and Agrelia are suitable for those who want to feel at home and enjoy every comfort.

Villa Liostasi has a nice living room, a kitchen and a large terrace with a garden full of flowers. Agrelia has a balcony overlooking the sea, while Petrino is ideal for groups, as it can accommodate up to 8 people.
