The Pelion Ski Centre (Pelion Ski Centre), in Agriolefkes, opens on Friday 14 January, after the heavy snowfall that occurred during the last 24 hours.
Work continued today at an intensive pace throughout the ski resort, in order to safely welcome skiers and mountain lovers.
Besides, the mountain of Centaurs, apart from its beautiful villages, is also famous for playing with snow, while enjoying an incredible view of the Aegean Sea and the Pagasitikos Gulf.
All tracks will be in operation: Panorama (upper part), Thetis, Pelion 3, Pelion 1, Pelion 4 and Pelion 5, while skiers will be accommodated by the three lifts Pelion 3 (double), Pelion 4 (sliding) and Pelion 5 (baby). The Ski Centre will be open from 9 am to 4 pm.
Those entering the ski area must wear a protective mask in both open and closed areas, such as the shelter and rental shops. All health protocols currently in effect throughout the country apply to the ski resort’s dining areas, too.
After this development, the Hotel Owners’ Association of Magnesia hopes to boost bookings in the wider Pelion region, as tourist traffic after the festive season is particularly limited.
