AEGEAN’s new Business Lounge at Thessaloniki Makedonia International Airport (SKG) opened its doors to passengers, enriching the travel experience even further by creating a space of high aesthetic value and comfort.
Inspired by Greece’s traditional architecture and sculptural design, and more than double the size of the previous one (more than 500 square metres), Aegean’s new lounge at Thessaloniki airport is the first to incorporate AEGEAN’s new corporate identity, keeping pace with the cutting-edge technology of the new A320neo and A321neo aircrafts that have already joined its fleet, and marks the starting point of a new era for the Greek airline, towards even more, innovative and upgraded passenger services.
The dominant curved forms combined with high-quality materials such as marble, mosaic, glass and wood create a modern and sophisticated space that focuses exclusively on comfort and hospitality, while the special gate inside the lounge ensures direct boarding to the aircraft.
At the same time, AEGEAN’s new lounge in Thessaloniki serves as a key hub for familiarizing passengers with the local products of Thessaloniki and Northern Greece. As the menu offered includes locally sourced products, passengers of Aegean Airlines –a member of Star Alliance, namely the largest global aviation alliance- can discover and enjoy the region’s rich gastronomic culture. Ultimately, AEGEAN will welcome passengers with delicious local treats, products, wines and drinks from selected producers of Northern Greece.
