On Thursday, March 23, taxi drivers in Athens will go on a 24-hour strike, protesting against various issues they face, including economic and professional matters, as well as competition concerns. The strike, announced by the Attica Taxi Drivers Union (SATA), will begin at 6:00 am on Thursday and end at 6:00 am on Friday.
Taxi drivers will gather at Kavalas Avenue at 10:00 am before marching towards the Ministry of Transport. The union accuses the government of neglecting their sector and helping multinational ride-hailing companies undermine taxi drivers’ income.
