The Cook’s Club hotel brand, offering a collection of adults only (+16) hotels for a new generation of travellers, plans to launch two new hotels in Greece in 2022, on Rhodes and Corfu.
The hotel brand has scheduled the opening of its second Rhodes unit, Cook Club’s Ialysos Rhodes, an 83-room facility, for May, 2022, following the launch of its first unit on the island, Cook Club’s City Beach Rhodes, in 2019.
Ialysos Rhodes is the hotel brand’s first newly constructed hotel in Greece. Also, the brand, now under new ownership, plans to further expand its market presence in Ibiza in 2022 and 2023.
Cook’s Club hotels, designed to cater to revelers, reclusive travellers, couples and groups of friends, offer double rooms, bungalows, suites with swimming pools, as well as suites with jacuzzi and private roof garden.
Mr. Hristos Mihalakis, owner of Cook’s Club Ialysos Rhodes, noted that, in the Cook’s Club team, he has found the right partner for the type of hotel he wants to create, as its philosophy incorporates experience sharing and celebration of the moment.
Mr. Alessandro Dassi, vice president of the Fosun Tourism Group, owner of the Cook’s Club brand, noted that the Ialysos Rhodes, as a new construction, offered the Cook’s Club team the opportunity to apply its concept to every aspect of the project, from design to operation.
As for the new hotel on Corfu, the five-star Cook’s Club Corfu, previously operating as the Park hotel, in Gouvia, its launch is also scheduled for next year.
The unit’s owner, the Thomas Rokas SA company, has released an announcement seeking personnel. It is seeking to appoint managers, division supervisors, employees for the kitchen, restaurant and bar, floor level managers, receptionists, as well as staff for maintenance, security and general duties.
The Cook’s Club brand launched its first hotel at Hersonissos, Crete in 2018. The Cook’s Club brand was acquired by the Fosum Tourism group following its acquisition of the Thomas Cook brand for 11 million British pounds in late-2019 with the aim of targeting a new generation of travellers.
Last year, the Cook’s Club Hersonissos on Crete and Cook’s Club Adakoy in Turkey operated under different brand names, The Z Club Hersonissos and Club Adakoy, respectively, but will reopen under the Cook’s Club brand name next summer.
The addition of the two hotels on Rhodes and Corfu increases the Cook’s Club hotels in Greece to five in total. Besides Cook’s Club Hersonissos on Crete, the brand also operates a further unit on Rhodes, as well as one on Kos.
It also runs a further five hotels in Turkey, Bulgaria, Mallorca and Egypt.
