Getting to and from the Airport

Bus

The OASTH bus line 01X offers a direct route between the airport and the city center, with an approximate travel time of 40 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at airport kiosks or on the bus.

Taxi

Taxis in Thessaloniki are easy to find and affordable. The base fare is €1.30, with an additional €0.74 per kilometer. Higher rates apply between midnight and 5:00 AM. Luggage incurs an extra charge. Always ensure the meter is turned on at the start of your trip.

Taxis are readily available outside the Arrivals Terminal. A typical fare to the city center ranges between €20-€25, depending on traffic and time of day.

Public Transport

Thessaloniki’s urban transport system is primarily managed by the Organization of Urban Transportation of Thessaloniki (OASTH), with an extensive bus network covering the city and surrounding areas.
