New restrictive measures for non-vaccinated individuals to come into effect September 13
According to announcements made by the Greek Minister for Health, Vasilis Kikilias:
- Indoor entertainment venues (restaurants, bars, cafes, tavernas) will be open only for fully vaccinated persons, once a 14-day period has elapsed, and individuals who have previously tested positive for Covid-19 (for up to 6 months from the date of the diagnosis).
- Indoor and open-air sports facilities will only be open for fully vaccinated persons, once a 14-day period has elapsed, and individuals who have previously tested positive for Covid-19 (for up to 6 months from the date of the diagnosis).
Identity checks, through the use of the Covidfree App, will be conducted for both aforementioned categories at venue entrances.
- Indoor theatres, cinemas, museums and archaeological museums will be open only for fully vaccinated persons, once a 14-day period has elapsed, and individuals who have previously tested positive for Covid-19 (for up to 6 months from the date of the diagnosis), as well as non-vaccinated persons holding negative rapid tests, valid for up to 48 hours.
- Indoor gyms will be open for fully vaccinated persons, once a 14-day period has elapsed, and individuals who have previously tested positive for Covid-19 (for up to 6 months from the date of the diagnosis) as well as non-vaccinated persons holding negative rapid tests, valid for up to 48 hours.
Theatres, cinemas and gyms will be entitled to operate as Covid-free spaces, only for fully vaccinated persons, once a 14-day period has elapsed, and individuals who have previously tested positive for Covid-19. In this event, enterprises will have the right to operate at full capacity.
These measures will apply until at least March 31, 2022.
